When you register a domain name with Brain Host, you have access to a domain management tool that gives you the ability to make domain management changes easily and online. With registrars, even making a small update to your contact information can be a lengthy process. Not with Brain Host.
Let’s walk through some of the basics of Brain Host’s domain name management tool.
To manage your domain(s), visit http://www.brainhost.com/manage-domain/ and log in with your Brain Host username and password. Your Brain Host username and password are the same as your cPanel username and password.
Once you’re logged in, you can:
1.) Manage Your Profile
Here you can change your password, add additional usernames and passwords in order to allow multiple people to update your records and create a new profile for your domain or move it to a different profile you own.
2.) Update Your Contact Information
This includes administrative, billing and technical contact information.
3.) Manage Your Name Servers
To note first, if you are unsure of how to use this feature, please refer to your ISP. You can add a username and password to allow your ISP to get in and makes changes to your Name Servers for you.
Under this section, you can:
- Create or modify a name server based on your domain name
- Replace a name server
- Remove a name server
- Add a name name server
4.) Enable/Disable Domain Privacy
By clicking on Domain Extras, you can enable or disable domain privacy. Simple click the correct option and then click Save Configuration.
