Meet the Team – Steve

| January 4, 2012 | 0 Comments

Today we’ll be talking to Steve, our Director of Affiliate Relations.

What is your official job title here at Brain Host?

Director of Affiliate Relations

What’s unique about the Brain Host affiliate program?

Our program is a turn-key program designed to increase revenue on existing offers by adding one of several custom solutions including an Auto Blog, Dynamic Review Site and Dynamic Squeeze page site.   We position our offer as a free offer and don’t upset their existing upsell funnel.

What do you do on a day-to-day basis?

I work with new and existing affiliates to set up offers and maximize revenue.

What do you like best about your job?

I really like to hear when an affiliate has success.  I also love it any time that an affiliate refers someone directly because you can hear and feel the excitement when you are working with them.

How would you describe working at Brain Host?

Brain Host is a great place to work.  I’ve never worked with a better or more talented group of people.  This place has a sense of family that isn’t found at too many work places these days.  It’s refreshing.

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

This job has many challenges, but the one that comes up more often is when an affiliate needs something custom and they launch the next day.  If not for the excellent staff and systems we use, those deadlines would be daunting, but even in a pinch we get it done as a team.

What is one fun fact about you?

I’m not only an employee, but I use Brain Host.  Okay yes, that was stolen from the Hair Club for Men commercial, but hey, it’s true.  Another fact about me that most don’t know is that I sponsor a couple of cars at a dirt track in Oregon, where I moved from!

Interesting. How did you become a sponsor?

I became a sponsor of Dirt Track Modified Cars when I went to the local dirt track in Medford, Oregon one night for something to do.  The lady I sat next to was the mother of one of the drivers.   She introduced me to him and I created a website for him in exchange for my name on his car.  I got to know quite a few drivers from there and have been sponsoring them ever since.

What is the number one activity on your bucket list?

If I could pick one item to be on the top of my bucket list it would be to go to the very edge of space or beyond and feel weightlessness.   As a certified diver, neutral buoyancy is cool, but you are in water with gear, it would be so cool to be able to do that in air.   If not that then it’d be driving a car on a NASCAR track.  I love speed and racing.

What is your one achievement that makes you the most proud?

I think the one thing in my life that I am most proud of is hiring someone that everyone said not to because I believed in her.  She was the best employee I ever had and I always strive to give something back; in her case it was teaching her to become more than she started with.  This is important to me, as someone in my life once did that for me, and if not for him I wouldn’t be here sharing my thoughts.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I like to scuba dive, read books, fly quad line kites and go to NASCAR races.

Where is your favorite place to go scuba diving?

My favorite place was diving off of St. Thomas.  We found a ravine that was filled with nurse sharks and got to interact with them.  Some of them were as long as 9 feet and seemed to be as inquisitive about us as they were to us.

Where is the one destination that you would love to scuba dive at?

I would like to dive in Belize, as last time I went there the weather wasn’t conducive to diving, so I missed that chance.  Crystal clear water makes for a fine dive.  I’ve been to the depths of a Titan Missile Silo in Texas, to offshore oil rigs, to diving in quarries. They are all fun.

You mentioned you like to fly quad line kites. What exactly is quad line kite flying?

Quad line kites are kites that are flown with four lines allowing for a lot more control than a one line or two line kite.  I like to fly revolution kites as they are the best out there.  You can fly them any direction, up, down, left or right and even hover in the air.

How did you first get into this unique hobby?

I first got into kite flying when I did a website for a friend of mine who was in a kite club.   He invited me out to the coast to see them fly and I was hooked.  You start flying two lines and then you get up into the more expensive kites, and then on to quads.   I got lucky in that one of the members of the kite club has a kite store.  I did the site for him and traded for three of the best dual line kites out there.  Then I met John Baressi who is world famous for flying anything with line.  He taught me how to fly quads though I will never be as good as him.

If you could only listen to one band or artist the rest of your life, who would it be?

If it was just one band it would have to be Pink Floyd, they never get old.  Styx and Journey come in a close second though.

What’s one thing you could not live without?

Internet access.   Every day I think of something that I want to know.  With the Internet it’s all there.   I can’t imagine going back to a world where knowledge was so readily available.

Meet the Team – Denny

| December 21, 2011 | 0 Comments

Today we’ll be talking to Denny, one of our front end web developers.

What is your official job title here at Brain Host?

Front End Web Developer

What do you do on a day-to-day basis?

I handle client side front end (X)HTML structures, the foundation of every web site, by converting graphics / projects from our talented graphics and marketing department into usable online documents that provide style and interaction that the reader will ultimately use.  I also work with the programming maintenance team, tackling various daily projects and tasks.

What is the main project you are working on now? Can you tell us about it?

I am currently integrating a templating system into something launching very soon exclusively at Brain Host!

What has been your favorite memory while working at Brain Host?

A few weeks ago, the development team invited me to a couple hours of fun at the local Laser Quest.  Not only was it my first time shooting a high tech laser weapon, it was also my first time wearing a high tech vest with flashing shiny lights while running through a foggy maze. What a blast!

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

Primarily focused on building websites for individual clients as a freelancer in the past, I find the most challenging aspect of my current position at Brain Host the sheer volume of projects.  Working for Brain Host is fast paced, exciting and proves to be challenging because it requires me to both stay focused on project delivery as well as time management skills.

What sets Brain Host apart from other web hosting providers?

The skill level at Brain Host and its leadership is nothing short of amazing.  Every facet of this company has talent.  From customer support to the programming department, to marketing, copywriting, video, graphics, sales, accounting, every base is covered with the finest group of talented people I’ve ever worked with.

What sets Brain Host apart from other companies in general?

Brain Host is a great place to work.  What’s the saying? “Find a job you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” That rings very true here at Brain Host. I think I can speak for everyone here; everyone enjoys a pleasant culture here.  Plus, the dining area has several old arcade games, a ping pong table and the famous white board where employees have fun asking and answering questions on their way to the coffee machine. Being the elder of the company, I make the most trips to that little machine ;)

What’s your favorite movie?

One of my favorite recent “epic movies” is Lord of the Rings, but I’d say the one that leaves the biggest impression on me is Star Wars.  Yes, I viewed the original release in a movie theater in 1977.

Word on the street is that you were in a band. What type of band were you in?

Yes, several actually.  While never in anything of great popularity, I played in many cover bands with some of the hardest working guys I’ve ever known throughout the 80′s and 90′s.  My bands played everything from classic rock to modern metal, all while keeping nearly 50 songs in rotation at any given time. While most original acts perform around an hour, my bands played for 3 hours and usually 25 to 30 songs a night. I kept a full-time job, rehearsed 3 nights a week, and played just about every weekend.

What instruments do you play? How long have you been playing them?

I love drums, but mainly I play lead guitar, and I have played both since Star Wars first released on the big screen.

What made you get into playing music?

My love for music started when I was 8 years old playing drums for a Christian music group, then eventually lead to electric guitar when I first discovered many of the popular classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Lynard Skynard, Kiss, Cream and the radio station WMMS.

What’s your favorite band?

My favorite semi-current band is Tool.  Tool has a great musical quality to them that keeps you guessing and I enjoy their weird time signatures, musicianship and almost hypnotic quality.

What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?

My father was not only a veteran of the Korean War, but raced cars and owned several small airplanes.  He used to fly my entire family (5 brothers and sisters) on vacations to various locations.  Some of my first cognitive memories consist of flying in planes and doing loops when my Dad was feeling frisky.

What do you spend your time doing outside of work?

I own a home with my beautiful wife Amy.  We have two children daughter Sydney (6) and son Braven (31/2).  We enjoy reading, the outdoors, hiking when we can, gardening, splitting wood (for our wood burning stove), and spending as much quality time as we can together laughing and enjoying life.

Meet the Team – Travis

| December 7, 2011 | 0 Comments

In this Meet the Team post, we’ll be talking to Travis, one of our developers.

What is your official job title here at Brain Host?

Officially? “Developer” – but I’m lobbying for “Code Monkey.”

What do you do on a day-to-day basis?

I work with the rest of the programming team to develop software products and online tools for Brain Host’s customers.

What is the main project you are working on now? Can you tell us about it?

We’ve been working on some upcoming changes to Brain Host’s online ordering. I don’t want to jinx anything before launch day by going into detail, but our users will be happy with the updates.

While working at Brain Host, what has been your best memory?

Flying to Boston for the Certified ScrumMaster Course in September with two other developers. It was a great time and we came away with shiny new certifications. The trip was especially memorable because I’d never flown before.

Wow, your first flight! What did you think?

I was a bit nervous, of course. Nobody told me about how much pressure you feel on takeoff. After that, though, I couldn’t stop staring at the clouds and at the night lights over Boston on our way in.

How would you describe working at Brain Host?

Everyone at Brain Host works hard, but no one escapes their day without laughing. That’s especially true for our merry band of programmers.

Which programmer is responsible for causing most of the laughter?

Jeff. I think he wakes up with an agenda every day to be as ridiculous as possible. Everyone will agree with me on that.

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

Keeping on top of new technologies and practices. Programming is an ever-evolving trade, but that’s what makes it so fun.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I minored in Japanese in college. I’m woefully out of practice, but I can speak a dialect of gibberish fluently. I’ve always been a language person. I had a semester of German, dabbled in Spanish and French, won awards for English in high school, and now I’m a programmer. Japanese has the benefit of lacking god-forsaken gender nouns. You don’t have to hurt yourself with guttural noises to speak it, and the written language is much more interesting than adding a tilde hat to an “n”. It’s great fun to learn.

What is your one achievement that makes you the most proud?

Making it as far as I have. My career started by tinkering on a keyboard in middle school; ten years later, I work alongside sharp professionals at a rising web hosting company. Sometimes, people even confuse me for a professional myself. I never imagined my first web page would lead to coding for hundreds of thousands of people.

The programming room has a lot of funny wall décor – what’s the story behind it all?

You see, the giant dog stickers represent learning from past mistakes, while the professional wrestling posters represent perseverance. They encourage us to pound code into the mat and lay the smackdown on bugs. It’s really all about creating a work environment to best channel our potential. What’s funny about that?

What is your favorite TV show?

Dexter on Showtime. Everyone loves a good antihero.

What are the five things that you could not live without?

Caffeine, electricity, broadband internet, a computer… Should I list “family” here? I think that’s probably the right answer.

Meet the Team – Nate

| November 22, 2011 | 1 Comment

This week we’ll be getting inside the head of Nate, our Client Services Training Manager.

What is your official job title here at Brain Host?

Training & Quality Assurance Manager of the Client Services Department.

What are your responsibilities within that role?

I’m the nerd that teaches the other nerds how to do things. I take care of technical issues that come up among my team. I’m responsible for identifying and creating new training initiatives, putting together training procedures for upcoming products and services, and managing our Quality Assurance team. They audit representative performance and make sure that the products and services that we are about to launch will work smoothly for the customer. They are also responsible for internal processes such as our order and client management systems.

What has been your favorite memory at Brain Host?

My favorite memory was our off site fun day when we hit 50,000 customers. We played whirly ball and went to the Winking Lizard for dinner. It was a great chance to get to know everyone in the department. I also enjoyed the chance I had to grill out for St. Jude Children’s Hospital this past summer when we were fundraising. For my birthday, I came into work to find my desk literally drowning in balloons. There were hundreds of them! They were Saran-wrapped together to make a wall to hold them all together. I think we had balloons floating around the office for weeks afterwards. I’m pretty sure the cleaning crew hated us!

What sets Brain Host’s Customer Support team apart from everyone else?

Me! No, seriously, I think it’s our upbeat attitude. There are many call centers where the atmosphere is just not conducive to fun having, but here the happiness of our employees is one of our top priorities! I’m working on getting a hot tub at each desk, still trying to work on that whole electrical danger thing though…

What did you do before Brain Host, and what made you decide to join the Brain Host team?

Before Brain Host I worked at a major jewelry company, and I was a Floor Monitor in their 30-day collection department. I have been with Brain Host since March, and have loved every day! I made the decision to transition to Brain Host because of the potential I saw in the company, and the fun/energetic atmosphere fostered here at Brain Host. I work with some of the best people in the business, and I’m thankful for the chance I have to work with and learn from them.

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

One of my favorite things about my job is also the most challenging, and that is the constant change. We work in a very fast paced industry, technology improves daily and there is always something to learn! But I never shy away from a challenge.

What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?

I’ve never drank alcohol in my life and I’m 23 years old. I’ve been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life, and a part of my religion is committing to not consuming potentially addictive substances such as coffee, tea, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, etc. Although I am a big fan of Mountain Dew! Still not sure how to rationalize that one.

What do you like to do in spare time you find?

I like to rock climb. I go rock climbing at Kendall Cliffs in northern Ohio. I have been in a couple of mountain biking competitions. I love to golf and swim, basically anything outdoors.

How did you get into mountain biking and rock climbing?

My brother-in-law introduced me to mountain biking. We went to a 24 hour competition in Loudonville, Ohio a couple years back and since then I’ve entered myself in competitions.  As for rock climbing, I grew up out west. Our house was right on the edge of the mountains in North Ogden, so growing up, I would always hike up the side of the mountain, and for me part of the hiking was rocking climbing. Funny story: When I moved to Ohio, a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to go hiking. I asked where because I didn’t see any mountains, I was so confused. He meant through the forest and it was funny because that’s not what hiking is to me. When I would hike in the mountains in Utah, it involved a larger element of danger, and was much more treacherous.

When did you move to Ohio?

We moved here when I was fourteen to be closer to my mom’s family.

What is your one achievement that makes you the most proud?

I’m an Eagle Scout. It was something I always had as a goal. My family always encouraged it, especially my older brother. He had stopped going to scouts before he got his Eagle and always regretted it. I made it my goal to become an Eagle Scout for him. My Eagle Scout project was a handicapped accessibility and awareness survey of 200 stores and businesses in downtown Wooster. It was a great experience to work with the mayor and other members of the community to make a difference. I earned my Eagle at age 17.

If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be?

New Zealand. I’ve always wanted to go there. They have a little bit of everything. Mountains, rainforests, beaches. I feel like it would be the best place to live.

What are the top three things to do on your bucket list?

I want to learn how to fly an airplane, I want to go sky diving, and I want to swim with sharks.

Meet the Team – Melissa

| November 8, 2011 | 0 Comments

In this Meet the Team we’ll meet Melissa, our Director of Client Services.

Fill us in on your day to day tasks.

There are five teams within my department who are all responsible for different functions: Quality Assurance, Retention, General Support, Tier 2 Technical Support, and Client Development. I have Team Leads and Managers handle the day-to-day reporting and management of each group, so my days are kept pretty busy with overseeing everything that they do plus interacting with Operations.

What is the main project you are working on now? Can you tell us about it?

Right now, my biggest initiative is getting my entire CS staff onto a new dialer system. We are about halfway there now, using it for outbound calls, but all of our inbound calls will come through the same system when it’s all said and done. The goal is to maximize productivity, and this system provides me with much more advanced analytics. It’s quite an undertaking, but everything we take on is in an effort to improve the customer experience, and this will definitely accomplish that.

What has been your favorite memory at Brain Host?

The first employee “fun day” that we had to celebrate 50,000 customers was pretty unforgettable, not just because of the event itself, but because we established such camaraderie as a staff that day. We played laser tag and whirly ball; both were so much fun! I may have endured a minor injury, but it was totally worth it!

What did you do before Brain Host? What made you decide to join our Family?

I was a supervisor in the collections department of a large jewelry company for about 4 ½ years before coming to Brain Host. Brain host was only a few months old at the time, but from my very first interview I knew that I had to join this team. The most appealing thing was the idea that I could have such a voice here; I would be able to make my mark on my own department while also being involved with the growth of the company as a whole. That’s the most ideal work environment for me – one that is challenging, fast-paced and team-oriented, while absolutely everyone is held accountable. Luckily, all of those things are still true today!

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

Time! Everything within Brain Host moves at rapid speed because we are all so eager to see what’s next. It is a conscious effort to slow down and outline processes and procedures both cross- and inter-departmentally. More than ever before, I have learned that if I don’t delegate, I don’t sleep.

What sets Brain Host apart from other web hosting providers?

Besides the fantastic service we provide our customers? ;-) I’m kidding – but I’m not. Client Services is by far the most common topic of discussion in this company. Everyone understands that we are on the front lines, and we take that seriously! We take into account all of the feedback that we get from our customers and work hard to implement changes right away. I don’t believe you’d see that from many other companies.

If you weren’t working here, where do you think you’d be?

Some beach, somewhere.

What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?

I have been on BET three times!

Why were you on BET?

I was in a hip hop group for a couple of years, and after a ton of local performances we started sending tapes and auditioning for bigger things. Our first time on BET was to compete in their Spring Bling special, Revamped. We traveled to Miami, worked with the celebrity judges and came in second overall! We came away with some good connections at the network who got us more shows and competitions in New York, but most importantly, they brought us back to BET! We got to perform on their show, Wild Out Wednesday, twice – once when Mariah Carey was the guest and once when it was Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.

What do you like to do in spare time you find?

I like to be as active as possible, so I try to find different ways to do that. I run, do yoga, I sometimes go to boot camp, but my favorite is when I get to take dance classes! I also like to read.

If you had the chance to go back and re-live any day of your life, what day would it be and why? OR favorite childhood past time?

Growing up I was really involved in musical theatre, so that was basically all that I cared about: singing, dancing and acting. This resulted in me forcing – I mean, inspiring – my neighbors to put on backyard performances pretty much every day… and many, many Spice Girls reenactments.

Do you have any secret talents?

Oh goodness! Yes – and they were all outed on our Viral Video! I don’t know how that happened! The one talent that was a secret is that I can roll my tongue into a clover shape (along with some other strange tricks).

What are the top three things to do on your bucket list?

Complete a triathlon; become certified SCUBA diver; fly an airplane or helicopter or something I really have no business controlling. Ya know, something unsafe.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the Akron area?

I really like going to farmers markets and flea markets during the summer. I just discovered them this year and nothing beats fresh fruit and vintage jewelry!

Meet the Team – Alison

| October 25, 2011 | 5 Comments

Today you have the opportunity to meet Alison, our Media Management Director.

As the Media Management Director, what do you do for Brain Host?

I handle the paid search campaigns, including traditional PPC and banner advertising. I also am working on our split-test process for testing all aspects of our website to continually improve its performance.

The main project I am currently working on is really just making our campaigns bigger and badder – this includes testing new landing pages, increasing the reach of our campaigns, and trying out new ad copy.

What has been your favorite memory at Brain Host?

My favorite memory at Brain Host is definitely the talent show and happy hour at Musica to raise money for St. Jude’s. It was great to see our team come together along with many talented folks for such a great cause!

What did you do before Brain Host? What made you decide to join our Family?

Before Brain Host, I had worked on the online marketing agency side, providing PPC strategy, account management and optimization for a variety of clients. I decided to join the family because it presented a new challenge for me, provided room for personal growth, and frankly, I felt like a fit in with the team really well!

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

The most challenging aspect of my job would be staying ahead of the pipeline. I love paid search because it is so fast-paced and ever changing, but if you let yourself get behind, it gets increasingly difficult to stay on top of it all.

What makes Brain Host a great company to work for?

Brain Host is a great company to work for because it has a fantastic environment. Everyone is friendly, intelligent and all working towards a common goal. It is great to see such comradery  in and out of the office.

Do you have any pets?

I do have one pet, just a cat named Zeke. He has an extra digit on each of his front paws.

What is one thing that you are very passionate about?

I am extremely passionate about dance – specifically ballet and modern.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

The best advice I have ever received is just, “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I like to relax, catch up on movies, and go to music concerts. If I’m feeling motivated, I like cycling and hiking, too!

What is your one achievement that makes you the most proud?

One achievement that makes me the most proud would that I was the only person in my college class at the University of Akron to graduate with a BFA in Dance; while the others graduated with a BA.

How did you get into your current career after graduating with a degree in dance? What were your plans then for graduating with that major?

During my senior year of college, I injured my back with a  stress fracture in my L4 vertebrae, so I knew I had to be open minded about what I did when I graduated. I knew I was going to continue teaching dance, but needed something stable and full-time. My father worked in the same building complex as a local search agency and recommended I submit a resume because it was a young company and had that “Google” vibe. Luckily, I was a closet computer nerd and a quick learner, and that is how I started my career in the search market.

What type of dance is your favorite?

My favorite type of dance is definitely modern – modern is experimental and breaks down classical ballet movements into contemporary combinations. My favorite modern styles are Graham, Cunningham and Muller.

How long have you been dancing?

I’ve danced for 23 years – 9 years were at a competition-style studio, and then I started my classical training when I was 12.

Is there a style of dance that you’d like to learn still?

I would love to learn ballroom dance – they are such timeless styles and have a lot of history.

Meet the Team – Corey

| October 11, 2011 | 1 Comment

Today we’re going to meet Corey!

What is your official job title here at Brain Host?

At this point, I don’t think I have an official title since my responsibilities constantly shift. I guess you could call me the full time floater. My primary role is Marketing and Product Development.

Fill us in on your day to day tasks.

My day-to-day is working on our internal marketing efforts, including SEO and PPC. I also still work with our customer service team, the rest of the marketing team, and the programmers to ensure things are moving together and everyone understands what the other is doing.

What is the main project you are working on now?

I’m mainly working on our organic search engine optimization and other marketing initiatives.

What has been your favorite memory at Brain Host?

Watching the company evolve over the last year has been amazing. Seeing something start so small (a simple PSD and an idea) and now turn into a fully fledged company is quite impressive.

What did you do before Brain Host? What made you decide to join our Family?

Prior to Brain Host, I did sales in the telecommunications industry. I found out about Internet marketing through various forums and blogs and thought it was interesting how people tried to game the search engines like Google. I read up on it more as a hobby until I met someone who got me into the industry full-time, and I have loved it ever since!

What is the most challenging aspect of your job?

Staying organized! By nature, I’m not a very detailed person so I have to put a lot of energy into making sure I keep on top of all the changes going on around me.

What sets Brain Host apart from other web hosting providers?

We value our customers and want them to succeed. Hosting can get pretty technical, and we continue to find ways to make it easier for our customers to use their hosting accounts, and along with that, we help them use their websites.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Energetic, Driven, Friendly

If you could be on any reality TV show which would it be and why?

Shark Tank because the entrepreneurs on the show are really awesome and entertaining.

What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?

I’m 1% Brazilian…. I’m not really, but I consider it my adopted percentage having lived there for a little over 3 years.

What do you like to do in spare time you find?

I really spend a lot of time on the Internet even if I’m not at work. I consider myself an amateur domainer and like working with some of my domains and websites. I also have a wonderful wife that I spend my free time hanging out with along with our 2 dogs, Oscar (Beagle) and Moose (Husky).

Corey's husky, Moose

Corey's beagle, Oscar

What’s your favorite thing to do in the Akron area?

Michael Trecaso’s Italian Food (also known as Mary Coyles, the ice cream part) http://www.marycoyle.com/ and going to an Aeros games at Canal Park.

The word around the office is that you have quite an extensive collection of free t-shirts. Why?

I like free things and t-shirts are one of those things you can get at conferences and other events.

Meet the Team – AnaMarie

| September 28, 2011 | 1 Comment

This week we’re getting inside the head of AnaMarie, one of our financial analysts.

What is your official job here at Brain Host?

I am a financial analyst in the Accounting Department. I deal with affiliate commissions and create and analyze reports. However, I’m going to be moving over to the web team here shortly. I’m currently going to Akron University for web design, and I will be slicing and coding websites when I switch teams! I am ecstatic to be switching over!

What do you like best about your job?

I love the employers and the employees. My bosses are awesome. I also love that I get to wear whatever I want to work.

What is one thing you cannot live without?

My family and friends… and my cats. I have two cats – one boy named Tago who is 9 years old, and one girl named Sondra who is 4 years old. I adopted them both on August 21, 2010 (the day before my birthday last year) as a birthday present to myself.

We send around company birthday cards to everyone – why did yours have the Steelers on it?

I’m a huge Steelers fan and have been since I was 11 years old. My step-dad hated the Steelers and I was a rebel, but I really do like the Steelers now! My favorite player is #43 Troy Polamalu. I just want to rub my hands through his hair!

I see a cheek piercing and a few tattoos – what else do you have?

I have five tattoos and 8 piercings. I went alone on my 18th birthday to get my first tattoo because I wanted one that badly. I got cherries, which are my favorite fruit. I want to get one more tattoo of the Chinese dragon because it is my other zodiac sign; I already have the Leo symbol.

If you were an office supply what would you be and why?

I would be a paper clip because they help keep things organized, and I’m a pretty organized person.

Describe yourself in three words?

Funny

Random

Loveable

If you could be on a reality show- which one?

I would be on “Hell’s Kitchen” because I would want to take charge and be a leader. I like being the leader and being bossy.

So you would rather cook food than bake a dessert?

Yes! My favorite thing to cook is chicken stir fry with onions, broccoli, bell peppers, and spicy peppers over steamed rice. I love Asian-style food!

I always see you wearing sunglasses on your head around the office, do you love them?

Yes I do. Sometimes I forget I am wearing them and I’ll go to lay down for bed with them still on. I own about 7-8 pairs, but I have 2 favorites that I usually wear.
